My favorite book is The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. I have always been interested in the history of World War II and I really enjoy historical fiction. This book makes me feel as though I am living in war time, alongside Liesel Memminger, enduring everything that she does -to an extent. It allows me to get a glimpse into what times were like during the war in Germany from a side that disagreed with Hitler but had to keep quiet. This book feels like an adventure, an adventure through a young girl’s life that has had to adapt to the war time conditions. Through these experiences she is able to discover the kind of person that she is and it is interesting to watch her story and see her grow.
