What is it about?
The Hunger Games is a story about 12 different districts who are forced to send one boy and one girl between the ages of 12 and 18 to go to the capital where they will be fought to the death live on television. The protagonist name Katniss Everdeen, a girl from district 12, volunteered to compete because her sister was selected to fight. During the game, Katniss Everdeen made different protests and movements against the capital which sparked a civil war from the districts.
Why did I choose this book as my favorite?
The reason why I picked this book as my favorite, is because having the main character inspire people to fight back for their freedom really made this story super intense. The feeling of what the protagonist is going through during the game makes me feel like I am also in it as well. This story started from surviving the hunger games into declaring war against the capital. I feel like having the whole world to look up to you as their role model can be such a big burden to carry.
