The book I re-read last month was J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. Like many others, I have a very nostalgic connection to this series because I read it while growing up during elementary and middle school. The reason I always return to this series is because Rowling does a fantastic job creating likable, wondrous characters and settings. I really like how Harry is also new to the world of magic in this book; this allows the reader to discover and learn the rules, secrets, and mysteries of this new imaginative world alongside Harry. This book and the rest of the series truly stands the test of time with multiple read throughs. I definitely recommend Harry Potter to everyone; however, if anyone has not read this series, they have been living underneath a rock and have been missing out.
