A book that I have read recently is The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. The reason for why I like this book is the way it expresses female empowerment and the emotions the book demonstrates. This is because in the book the emotions are very present. For example,in the book the emotion that is felt of sorrow when Katniss's sister is chosen to be in the hunger games, one could just feel the pain that Katniss went through and how hard it must feel to think you may lose a sibling. There is also much emotion of caring throughout the book of Katniss caring for everyone in the book. This book is also my favorite because of the female empowerment. This is Katniss just showing she can survive without anyone helping her and how she keeps moving forward throughout every single hardship that she has gone through and still keeps her head up and keeps fighting, which is somethingthat inspires me to try and be. I also love the plot of the movie and the setting and how its different from any other book that I have read.
